SIM Global Education is a leading private education institution in Singapore. We offer more than 80 academic programmes ranging from our own diploma and graduate diploma courses to Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes with reputable universities from Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Our current enrolment stands at about 16,000 full and part-time students and adult learners. About 30% of our full-time students are international students hailing from over 40 countries.

SIM GE’s holistic learning approach and culturally diverse learning environment aim to equip students with an all-rounded global education. SIM Professional Development and Enterprise Learning (SIM PDEL)

SIM Professional Development and Enterprise Learning is Singapore’s leading professional learning and transformation partner for enterprises and professionals to power up their skills through a wide range of industry-relevant, skills-based executive development and enterprise learning programmes.

Annually, SIM PDEL offers about 600 executive and business programmes that help close to 9,000 professionals hone their competencies to drive business value and achieve peak personal and enterprise performance.

SIM PDEL also collaborates with enterprises to develop strategic roadmaps and customised deep skilling and coaching solutions to optimise their human talent to support business objectives.

We transform Global Education for individual learners

SIM Global Education provides a through-train pathway to fulfilling learners’ aspirations, offering a wide choice of diploma to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. 

 Through its partnership with established international universities, SIM’s academic programmes give learners exposure to diverse cultures and access to a global network. These globally-recognised degrees offered at SIM have the same curricula and academic standards as those awarded onshore, as all programmes are taught by local and foreign faculty as well as visiting faculty members from university partners.  

With the set-up of the Centre for Micro-Credentials in 2020, SIM has partnered industry leaders like AWS, Edelman, Adonis and Shopee to offer micro-credential courses for Global Education learners. These courses are rich with industry context, equipping learners with industry-relevant knowledge and boosting their employability. 

As a not-for-profit organisation with a social mission of developing talent through lifelong learning, we strongly believe that everyone deserves this good, holistic education. We offer merit-based, bond-free scholarships to students who exhibit not only excellence in academic study, but also in sports and the performing arts. In addition to scholarships, SIM gives out bursaries to students who need financial help.

We revolutionise Lifelong Learning for PMETs

As Singapore gears up to move into Industry 4.0 and beyond, our focus is to help PMETs close their gaps between skills and employability and prepare them for the future of work. Under the SGUnited Skills Programme, SIM has launched a series of 6-month training programmes targeted at high-demand job roles in the Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics sectors. The SGUnited Skills Programme is part of a whole-of-government response to help job seekers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to acquire in-demand and emerging skills across growth sectors.  

In this end-to-end programme, participants will receive real-world training, professional career coaching, a monthly training allowance and job placement assistance to successfully embark on a new career. Those who have not found a job at the end of the programme will continue to receive career advisory and employment assistance from SIM to increase chances of securing a job. 

Since its launch in August 2020, our Advanced Manufacturing Programme has trained 700 learners and almost 70% have been placed in new jobs*. Its success has led to SIM being appointed to roll out the SGUnited Skills Logistics Programme in 2022, which is expected to reskill and upskill more than 500 mid-career PMETs.  

We drive positive systemic changes through leadership conversations

The shifting business and customer landscape has accentuated the need for organisations to be adaptive and agile. The programmes under the Centre for Systems Leadership allows individuals to look at systemic structures and gain deeper insights into the complexity of organisation systems, generate conversations and work out solutions as a group. This prepares them for challenges they will face in a VUCAH world.

We digitalise Learning Infrastructures for the world’s learners

Launched in Feb 2021, the SIM Online platform provides capabilities from Course Discovery, Registration, Payments, Learning (online synchronous and self-paced) to being integrated with Micro-credentialing capabilities. It is also expanding its services to provide profiling and job-matching capabilities.
